As we headed to bed last night, there was much confusion about Daylight Savings Time, which Honduras does not observe. We were all trying to figure out the new time differences between our respective home towns, all the way from California to Massachusetts, and here.
Praise God, the sun came up on time just as gloriously as the day before.
Breakfast is 1 hour later on Sundays at TLC so we enjoyed a leisurely cup of coffee while preparing new hymns for our church service. Breakfast was typical and good, eggs, red beans, corn tortillas and vegetables.
Worship service is held every Sunday at 9:30 here at TLC. Joseph opened with prayer and we sang God is Here Today, Lord I lift Your Name on High and Sanctuary.
Dan and I preached on Mark Chapter 5, the miracles of casting out demons, healing the sick woman and raising the daughter of Jairus from the dead. It was wonderfully interactive, many students offering insightful perspectives.
We had wonderful homemade chicken soup with cheese bread for lunch. Yesterday we found lemons the size of grapefruits on a hike and made some lemonade. We are not suffering here.
Dan and Jose completed a lovely cabinet project today and now the students have a place to store the sewing machines and all the crafting supplies. Bless them, it is not easy to complete building projects here, tools are scarce and supplies are largely improvised and recycled.
It is so sunny and warm today that the shower water this afternoon was actually hot, a first for me at TLC!
Late this afternoon we hiked about an hour to view a spectacular waterfall.
Dinner is over an it is officially internet hour so I must get this sent before time us up.
For the team,
